Hudson Athletic Recruiting is always proud of our growing team and each new recruit joining our ranks. The past few months have been a particularly exciting yet unfamiliar time for new Hudson Sports team athletes as they learn to navigate secondary and post-secondary experiences in a COVID-19 world. The pandemic has impacted all aspects of an athlete’s personal and professional life, yet Hudson young sports stars haven’t let Coronavirus impede their successes. This is especially the case with our new hockey recruit, Jorja Nystrom of the Edmonton U18 AAA Pandas! 15-year-old Jorja Nystrom is currently considering between multiple post-secondary offers including from the NCAA and U Sports level for women’s hockey. The NCAA is the National Collegiate Athletic Association committed to providing a successful gateway to incredible opportunities for college athletes. Our sports recruiting team have had a number of students receive offers from the NCAA as a college pick. NCAA Women’s ice hockey has two divisions; Division I and Division III.

After winning “League MVP” for the North Central Impact (Bantam Elite), Jorja then joined the 2020/2021 U18 AAA Pandas at just 15-years-old. A triumphant achievement for the young hockey protégé. During her rookie campaign, Jorja achieved 10 regular season points, 2 goals in playoff games, won the academy championship and won 3 out of 5 Championship games. To say her duration as a rookie was strong is a vast understatement. As one of the hardest working student athletes to join the Hudson Sports team, Jorja is committed to being both a leader and inspiration to others Pandas during her second year. Our team is looking forward to seeing Jorja succeed as an elite student and athlete at the post secondary level in her future.
